This delightful upside-down cottage makes the perfect, secluded base for a couple’s countryside break.

Stepping into the property, you’ll find the cosy king size bedroom to your right, beautifully furnished, with a stylish en suite leading off it. Stairs from the hall lead up to the spacious, tastefully furnished lounge with a dining area, electric fire and views over the surrounding fells, the perfect place to curl up and unwind after a day’s trecking.

To the back of the property, the contemporary, country style kitchen is fully-fitted with everything a keen cook might need, as well as a coffee machine for your morning brew. The cottage provides cosy, relaxing accommodation for two guests to unwind in comfort, making it an ideal romantic retreat.

Not only is Cartmel one of Northern England’s top foodie destinations, you can also take advantage of excellent walking opportunities amidst beautiful, unspoilt countryside. Visit The National Hunt Racecourse, the Campbell Legend Bluebird Exhibition, Lakeland Motor Museum and Holker Hall with its spectacular gardens, all of which are close by. The quiet seaside  retreat of Grange-over-Sands, with its Edwardian buildings and mountain backdrop, is also a mere 2 miles away, whilst Windermere, with its panoramic views over England’s longest lake, is within a thirty minute drive.
